The Arita Ceramic Fair, held every year from April 29 to May 5 (Golden Week), is the largest porcelain sale event in Japan — 600+ stores along 4km of the main road through Arita town selling everything from antique Imari ware at collector prices to modern studio pieces and everyday tableware at significant discount.
